Former Oakland Township Parks and Recreation Commissioner Roger Schmidt passes away

It has recently come to our attention that former Oakland Township Parks and Recreation Commissioner, Roger Schmidt, has passed away.  Roger was a dedicated citizen of Oakland Township.  He pursued, what he believed to be, the best interests of Oakland Township.  We offer our deepest regrets to his family and friends.

    Thank you for letting us know, Dick. Though I’d heard about his stroke, his death still comes as a sad surprise. He seemed to have a lot of life in him. Reg and I send our condolences to his wife and family. You’re right. Though his vision was different than ours, he truly did care about the township.
